SC 85: Risk of Lung Cancer from Radon

The Committee is rewriting NCRP Report No. 78, Evaluation of Occupational and Environmental Exposures to Radon and Radon Daughters in the United States. Since NCRP Report No. 78 was published, significant new data and reviews have become available. The draft report of SC 85 was forwarded for review by Council members in May 2002. The report was revised following Council review. A complete revised draft report has been received from the Chairman and is being prepared for PAC review. The Board of Directors at its meeting on December 8-9, 2005, determined that the revised draft report will be resubmitted for Council review. Final preparation of the draft report for review by PAC 1 and Council is pending supplemental funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
