NCRP Report No. 129, Recommended Screening Limits for Contaminated Surface Soil and Review of Factors Relevant to Site-Specific Studies
NCRP Report No. 129, "Recommended Screening Limits for Contaminated Surface Soil and Review of Factors Relevant to Site-Specific Studies," is designed to assist in making decisions for cleanup of surface soil contaminated with radionuclides. The Report provides screening limits that can be applied to sites where the surface soil is known to be contaminated. The use of these calculated screening limits will allow reasonable judgments to be made regarding whether additional action is needed. The doses calculated with the dose factors in this Report are not appropriate for use in calculating estimates of health effects. The Report is 353 pages in length consisting of seven sections, four appendices, a glossary, references, and the standard NCRP back material. The sections and appendices are as follows:
